We offer dance classes in many styles!

Ballet

Ballet is a universal dance form where dancers work at the barre and in the centre developing grace, elegance, technique, and strength. Ballet steps are basic to all dance forms, and this class is an opportunity to develop skills that will be useful whether dancers want to continue in ballet or any other form of dance.

Modern Dance

Modern dance is a contemporary theatrical and concert dance form which develops the use of the entire body in movements expressive of abstract ideas. The class will include aspects of creative dance, as dancers work on technique, composition, and improvisation.

Jazz

Jazz is a traditional American dance form that evolved from the swing dance of the 1920s. It is a rhythmic, upbeat, fun, and energetic dance form characterized by sharp movements and bright colors.

Hip Hop

Hip hop is a type of dance that has evolved as a part of the hip hop culture. It originated with breakdancing, but has developed into a new style that is danced in an upright manner. This style combines elements of various street dance styles, and even mixes them with other dance forms such as jazz.

Tap

Tap dance is like percussion for your feet. It is a precise dance form which is fun and energetic, but also relaxed. This class is an excellent opportunity for developing coordination, agility, timing and rhythm. The steps provide a challenging yet enjoyable way to develop strength in ankle muscles, which is especially helpful for continuing on to pointe work in ballet.

Creative Dance

In this class 3 to 5 year olds learn the basic elements of dance, coordination, rhythm, and movement. Creativity and self-expression are fostered in a positive and encouraging environment. Dancers begin to develop flexibility and strength while learning basic ballet movements which will be the foundation for later training.
